Mini Alphabet Knit Pattern

So I'm on a creative kick today and wanted to get my ideas that I would like to try down before I forget. So, here is another pattern that I designed, but haas not been tested. I am new at this designing stuff so if you find something that could improve the design please let me know.

Please feel free to use this pattern for personal use, and credit back to me. Also, as always I would love to see pictures of what you knit!!

Obessing over Argyle

I've been knitting a lot of stuff for christmas and I just seemed to be LOVING argyle patterns, I just bought a few pairs of argyle socks. I made up another pattern that I plan on trying out today. I'm so excited about it I thought I would share. You can repeat the pattern how ever you see fit!!

If  knitting in the round, simply knit each row. If knitting flat purl the odd rows and knit the even rows.
If you use my pattern please credit me and also I would love to see a picture of your project!!

Argyle Pattern

Here is an argyle pattern I created, being that I couldn't find one that I wanted for a beanie I just made my own. You can knit it with 2 colors or 3 colors. I haven't knit it up yet so if you find a mistake please let me know. I plan on putting a single row in a beanie for my brother for christmas. After I finish knitting it up I will add a photo to this blog!

If you use this pattern please credit me Also, PLEASE post photos, I would love to see how you use it!!

**If you are going to repeat this pattern vertically omit row 11, until you are finished repeating the pattern, THEN you end with row 11.

Finished Project

Bearded Slouch Beanie
I made this for a friend of mine in New York.
I made this pattern completely on my own, just kinda making it up as I went.
Was inspired by a picture my sister posted on my Facebook a while back.
I'm officially in love with it.

Sneak Peek...

I've created a pattern that I would love to share with you all. I'm all about Texas pride and with my sister moving to New York I thought she needed some handmade Texas love to wear to keep her family warm. I've have to type it all up and stuff, so I plan on having it posted by the end of next week. It's a little trial and error, but hey it's my first pattern I've ever created. If you like it test it out and let me know how it works for you.

ON another note, I have been on an avocado kick lately. I love them. And I can't seem to get enough!

What is your favorite way to eat avocados?

New Project!

First off, sorry for my lack of blogging lately, I've had some family members needing my help.
(My sister Kasie with a torn acl along with a few other things and my friend Neal who just had back surgery)
I just started this hat in different colors of course. It's a free pattern from Lion Brand. My sister made one for me and it's a SUPER easy, SUPER cute hat. I can't wait to finish it. I will be making an extra one for a giveaway, if you like it keep checking back to sign up for the giveaway.

Any who that's all for now

Pulling out my hair...

I've made a big mistake. I recently started knitting a baby blanket using four strands of cashmere yarn held together. As I got further along I decided I wasn't crazy about the way it was coming out so I decided to start over only using two strands instead. I then proceeded to unravel all the work I had done. so far. Note to self, when taking apart a knitted project to start over carefully roll the yarn as you go.For the last two days I've spent most of my time sitting on the couch trying to untangle the four skeins. If you have ever had to endure this you'll know what I mean when I say, I'm seriously going crazy! I'm just about ready to cut the yarn to bits, but I shall resist. I WILL overcome this monster yarn mess! It will be defeated! But for now I must take a break before I lose it.

It's finished... almost

So I pretty much finished the cardigan I was knitting for Jocelyn.
It's big on her which is what I was aiming for cause I want it to fit her this winter. I still need to sew on a second button and press it. I really like the way it came out! It's made from hand dyed/hand spun yarn my friend Talia made. So adorable. I can't wait to make another one.

Baby Half Cardigan Peek

Here's just a peek, I'll probably finish it tonight(as long as the kids let me :P) So if it is finished I will post pictures tomorrow of the finished product! I LOVE it so far, especially the colors!

Camera Hand Strap!

Love it and want it!

On a different note, yesterday my lovely friend Talia gave me a bunch of her hand spun yarn, and I LOVE it. I already started knitting a little half cardigan sweater for Jocelyn. I can't wait to make more things. I'll post pictures later to day or tomorrow of some of my new yarn and the progress I made on the sweater :)

Have a lovely day.

down to the wire....I need to stay busy!

So I'm down to the wire, Jocelyn will be here before I know it. I'm trying to stay busy to keep my mind off it because just sitting around waiting makes me anxious!

I know I won't finish her blanket before she's here, so my goal now is to finish it in time for her to use it.
Today I've been working on Josiah's ABC Rocker quilt.

And cutting squares, and more squares and more squares and more squares!! I like it though. Keeps me busy and it's easy to cut and watch tv.

I did finished a couple of things for Jocelyn,

And picked out her coming home outfit
with some cute socks her Aunt Kasie got her
And I still have to make the second one, but she just might come home with some crocheted sandals.

So we have doctor's appointment Friday then we are taking pregnancy photos!  I didn't take any the first time I was pregnant so I've be searching for inspiration:

Saturday is our baby shower, keeping my fingers crossed that I don't go into labor before then.
Sunday is my nephew's first birthday.
Monday we go in at 7am to be induced.

Busy weekend, but life is good.
