my sweet Josiah

As I've said recently finding time to blog is next to impossible, or it could just be I've been way to lazy to sit down and blog. Either way I'm bummed that I have been lacking, not because I want readers or whatever but because I haven't been documenting my kids and our life.  I'm not going to apologize but instead I will just continue to do as I please :) Cause thats what makes the most sense. If I don't have time to sit in front of the computer to take the time to blog, well then so be it.

On that note, today I have a cute story about Josiah, it just about put me in tears.

This morning, as every morning, Josiah woke up and came into my room around 8:30 to talk to me. I lay there in bed and listen to him telling me everything that pops into his little head. Well, around 9am he hears the neighbor kids playing outside. He jumps up and down and tells me he HAS to get dressed. After a few trips back and forth to his room to get dressed and Jocelyn dressed and ME dressed, we finally headed outside.

By the time we got out there the neighbor kids had gone back inside. So Josiah and Jocelyn just started doing their own thing, finding stuff to play with. The neighbor kids ended up coming back outside, and Jo got super excited. He ran to me and ask "Mom, can I please go say, what's your name? Can I go play with my kid friends?"  "Sure, go ahead", I replied.

He walked slowly toward their yard. Then he just stopped and stared. I told him "Well go already, I'll be right back, I need to lay Jocelyn down for a nap."

When I came back outside, he was still standing off to the side just watching them. Mind you, these kids are older, like 9 or 10 years old. So the first pick for  playmate probably won't be a 3 year old, and there were like 4 of them so it's not like they need another companion. As I watched they all drifted back inside. And Josiah just stood there longing for someone to play with. Let me tell ya, MY HEART WAS BREAKING.

I called him over and asked him if he would play with me. Of course he was all for it, saying "Let's play baseball!!"

So although, I'm busy as all get out with editing I need to get done. I put aside my work to play with my son. And it was a great moment. Now as I sit here typing this story he is walking around with a Optimus Prime helmet on fighting with anything and everything. And I keep catching him staring over to the neighbors house, longing to play with them. He is such a sweet boy and he really needs some friends.
